This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Hiroshima International Animation Festival since the establishment of its organizing committee in 1984. In this exhibition, we look over the path of our festival by presenting official posters and precious photographs documenting the past. You will find various important scenes including many masters of animation visiting the festival, and also the sight of today's maters still in their youth. Hope you will enjoy our 30 years history.

The Canadian great master Norman McLaren was the first director of the Animation Division of the National Film Board of Canada and the first president of ASIFA – Association Internationale du Film d’Animation, devoting his efforts to the growth of the animation industry. This year marks the centenary of his birth, and this exhibition traces his life.
