Festival's Mascot Character "Lappy"

“Lappy” was born in 1985, together with the establishment of Hiroshima Festival, and is an imaginary creature designed by Renzo Kinoshita, the founder of Hiroshima Festival.

“Lappy” was named after our festival’s spirit “Love & Peace” and “Happy”, chosen from 4762 entries from all over Japan.
