Born in 1944, in Finland. Soon after graduating from the Helsinki College of Applied Art 1968 as a graphic designer, she made her first animated commercial Vivante bubble bath. It was awarded as the Best Commercial at the 1972 Zagreb World Animation Festival. The following year Marjut was invited to the UK to join Halas & Batchelor Animation.

Since 1974 Marjut has worked independently in London directing and animating commercials for Finland - including several award winners - and producing short films for Channel Four Television. She created a children’s series Urpo & Turpo in partnership with Liisa Helminen for the Finnish Broadcasting Corporation. Her films tour extensively to film festivals, and have been presented in several international retrospectives of her work.

Marjut has been a member of many film festival juries, in the UK and overseas. She runs master-classes and workshops all around the world. She is a visiting tutor at the National Film & Television School, the Royal College of Art and the Surrey Institute of Art & Design.
Among her representative films are “The Stain”(1991),“Many Happy Returns ”(1996),“Learned by Heart”(2007),etc. She lives in London.

Born in 1937 in the town of Satu Mare, Romania. In 1964,Genevieve graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Bucharest University, and also finished the Faculty of Museology in 1982. She has been affiliated for 30 years to the “ANIMAFILM” Film Studio. As a capable scenery painter, graphics art creator and film director, she has mainly engaged in the field of cartoon films, using the “cutting out cardboad” technique. She is the author of the scenery painting for more than 200 animation films, and was awarded in Vienna (1966), in Venice (1971) and other numerous international film festivals. As a scenario writer and film director, Genevieve has realized many awarding films too. Her representative works are “The Light”(1967),“The Kite”(1969),“Who Has Stolen the Water”(1973) and “The Juggler Sun”(1975),etc. In 1981, she served as one of the pre-selection jury at the Annecy Film Festival. In 1995, she joined the filmmaking, together with other film creators from several countries, as a tribute paid to the film centennial celebration, “Palais des Rêves”. She is the General Secretary of ASIFA-Romania and a member of the ASIFA Board. Currently, she is involved in various projects with other filmmakers in different private studios.

Born in 1955, Belgrade, Yugoslavia (Serbia).
He has been engaged in a variety of fields such as illustration, animation, graphic design, art graphic, comics, book labels and music. Currently, he is a professor of illustration (since 1994) and Animation (since 2006) at the Faculty of Applied Arts, University of Arts, Belgrade. He is the founder of the Animation course at the Faculty of Applied Arts, and is the Head of the Digital Art Group of the lnterdisciplinar Magister Studies at the University of Arts in Belgrade.
Furthermore, while he served as the founder and the chief of the Animation Department at the Dunav Film School, Belgrade(1996-2006),he has published many illustrated books, has designed over 250 logos for different companies, and has had 32 one-man exhibitions and over 200 group exhibitions. He illustrated also for the New York Times Book Review(since 2002)edited by Steven Heller. He also produces many short animation films, and among his representative films are “Tango Ragtime”(1986). “The Tower of Bababel”(1988),“Metamorph”(2005),“Fantasmagorie 2008”(2008), etc. Member of ASIFA and Art Directors Club Serbia.

Born in 1941 in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
He received a BA in Government from Cornell, an MA in Drama from UC, Berkeley, and an MFA in Film from Columbia. After he studied sculpture and music in India under a Fulbright grant, he studied sumi-e in Japan.

Ehrlich has made over 35 abstract animated films, which won various prizes in international film festivals throughout the world. He has also produced a number of international animation collaborations on behalf of ASIFA.
In 1987, he produced and co-directed "Academy Leader Variations," a unique animated collaboration by artists from Poland, China, Switzerland, and the U.S. that won a Special Jury Prize in Animated Shorts at Cannes. In 1989, he produced "Animated Self-Portrait," an animated collaboration by artists from Japan, the U.S. Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, and Estonia that made the Oscars Short List.

On the other hand, Ehrlich has led animation workshops for thousands of children in the U.S. and internationally.

In 1988, he was elected to the ASIFA Board, and served as the Vice President of ASIFA from 1991 to 1996.
Since 1992, Ehrlich has been Professor of Film Studies at Dartmouth College.
He has written many articles on his work with children, animated holography, and international animation.

Born 1956 in Warsaw, Poland
Animation filmmaker, film director, illustrator, poster designer, set designer, writer, and also teaches at the Film School in Lodz, Poland, Konstfack College of Arts in Eksjo, Sweden, and Harvard University in Cambridge, USA.
Dumala studied sculpture and animation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Since 1981 he has directed over 70 animated films and commercials getting more than 50 awards.
In 1983 he invented a new animation technique - painting and scratching on prepared plaster blocks. He had a several plaster technique workshops for students: at Royal Academy of Arts in Gent, College in Volda, Royal College of Arts , and National Film and Television School in London, Konstfack College of Arts in Eksjo.
Among his representative film are “Gentle”(1985), “Freedom of Leg”(1988), “Franz Kafka” (1991), “Crime & Punishment”(2000),etc.
In 2003 Dumala received the Life Achievement Award Luna de Valencia at the International Film Festival in Valencia.

Born in 1940. Animation Film Director. Sugii joined Toei Doga in 1959, and there he studied the basics of animation thoroughly. Starting his career as an animator for a feature animation “Hakujaden”(1958), he participated in animating masterpieces including “Shonen Sarutobi Sasuke”(1959), “Saiyuki”(1960) ,etc. In 1961, he became involved with the foundation of Mushi Production, led by Osamu Tezuka.During his time at Mushi Production, he directed “Tetsuwan Atom”(Astro Boy), “Goku no Daiboken”, “Dororo”, and others, He also worked as the guest animator for theatrical feature animations “Senya Ichiya Monogatari” (A Thousand and One Nights) and “Cleopatra”, aimed for adult audiences, which were very rare at that time. In 1969, together with Atsushi Tashiro, he established Group Tac Co.,Ltd., where he directed the feature animation “Jack to Mame no Ki” (Jack and the Beanstalk) and TV animation series such as “Manga Nihon Mukashi-banashi”(1974), “Nine”(1983),and“Touch”(1985〜), among others. In 1985, he directed the feature animation “Ginga Tetsudo no Yoru”(Night on the Galactic Railroad), based on the famous novel by Kenji Miyazawa. This Film was highly accepted in various fields, and received the Nobuo Ofuji Prize at the Mainichi Film Contest. Also,Sugii directed another feature animation “Genji Monogatari ”(The Tale of Genji), an animation adaptation of Japanese classical literature, which was also highly applauded .
Sugii also continues to create traditional Japanese-style paintings, in a very heartwarming manner, under the pseudonym “Safu”. Board Member of Directors Guild of Japan. Professor at Kyoto Seika University.
