This is the first Portuguese animation feature film. The entire story is developed in King Barbeca's faraway kingdom, he only thinks about building a gigantic tower. Tyrannical, wily and incredibly greedy, King Barbeca forbids everything, plunging the kingdom into a sad and immense grey. |

António C. Valente
Born in 1961, António is one of the founders of the Cine-Clube of Avanca. Teacher in the Communication and Art Department of the University of Aveiro, he teaches cinema and animation subjects. He had administrative functions in the Cartoon, at the FPCA and he's the National Coordinator of INPUT – International Public Television Conference. He directed the production of a large number of works produced by Cine-Clube of Avanca. As a producer and director, his works have been distinguished, more than fifty awards, in several countries.
He's also the director of the International Meeting of Cinema, Television, Video and Multimedia – AVANCA'97 to AVANCA'07.
He's the author of the book "Cinema sem actores" (Cinema without actors).
Carlos Silva
Born in 1974, Portugal, has several studies in the audiovisual area and founded the Cine Club of Angeja. He works at the Cine-Clube of Avanca Animation Studios and he's responsible for the composition and editing of several fiction, documentary and advertisement films, making the pos-production of more than fifty films.
Vítor Lopes
Born in Estarreja-Portugal, in 1963, Vítor studied Audiovisual Communication Technologies.Director of several animation short films, he was awarded in some Festivals, namely in Australia, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, United Kingdom and Portugal. He works at Cine-Clube of Avanca Animation Studios, as animator and director, with a large experience in animation TV series.
